Methodological explanation
Index of export producers’ prices is calculated according to methodology harmonized with methodology for calculating indices of producers’ prices in domestic market and is based on international statistical principles and recommendations. The aim of conducting this survey is calculating total index of producers’ prices (for domestic and foreign market), and it is also used as a short – term indicator in macroeconomic analysis and reviews. The survey is conducted on the representative sample. Prices are collected in foreign currencies and indices are calculated in dinar value, according to the mean exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia.
Data are given according to Classification of Activities, by sections and divisions. Starting from 1999 the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia has not at disposal and may not provide available certain data relative to Kosovo and Metohia and therefore these data are not included in the coverage for the Republic of Serbia (total).
