The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia releases the preliminary results of regional gross domestic product (GDP) calculations for 2023, as well as the revised data for 2022, which were made compliant with the results of the revision of the national GDP, issued on October 1st, 2024.
According to the preliminary results of regional GDP calculations for 2023, the value of regional GDP and the share in the national GDP are the following: Beogradski region – RSD 3 822 081 million (43.3%), Region Vojvodine – RSD 2 167 172 million (24.6%), Region Šumadije i Zapadne Srbije – RSD 1 495 218 million (17.0%) and Region Južne i Istočne Srbije – RSD 1 330 337 million (15.1%).
For regional GDP per capita and level indices (RS=100) the following values were recorded: Beogradski region –RSD 2 271 thousand (170.6), Region Vojvodine – RSD 1 250 thousand (93.9), Region Šumadije i Zapadne Srbije – RSD 826 thousand (62.1) and Region Južne i Istočne Srbije – RSD 953 thousand (71.6).

1)In accordance with the ESA 2010 and the Eurostat methodology of regional accounts, the Extra regio is presented as a separate statistical territorial unit of the Republic of Serbia (ESA 2010, paragraph 13.11). It refers to diplomatic and consular missions, embassies of the Republic of Serbia abroad and other parts of the economic territory of the Republic of Serbia outside its territorial borders. The calculation of gross value added for the Extra regio is done on the basis of the data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia on citizens of the Republic of Serbia employed in these units. According to ESA 2010 (paragraph 13.44), as regards the Extra regio, the data on GDP per capita and the corresponding indices are not shown.

Starting from 1999 the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia has not at disposal and may not provide available certain data relative to AP Kosovo and Metohija and therefore these data are not included in the coverage for the Republic of Serbia (total).
