SO2 emission in 2020 amounted to 417.6 thousand tons (Gg), presenting the increase of 5.1% relative to the previous year. Total emissions of SO2 in the section of Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply has the share of 91.3% with slight increase relative to the 2019. The share of SO2 emission in the section of Manufacturing was 3.7%, in other sections of economic activities, it was 1.6% and in Households 3.4%.
Of the total of 367.9 thousand tons (Gg) of emitted CO in 2020, 84.8% related to emissions from households. The emissions of households caused by the heating method amounted to 88.3%. The sections of economic activities have significantly smaller shares in total CO emissions, and the section of Manufacturing noted decrease of this gas emission (8.7%) relative to the previous year.
Emission of NOx, with 176.3 thousand tons of emitted gases, recorded slight increase of 4.4% relative to the previous year. Emission of the mentioned gases from households, in the sense of transport, recorded decrease of 1.1%, and increase was recorded in the section of Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (5.3%).
