According to the data collected in the first quarter of 2022, value of construction works done on the territory of the Republic of Serbia increased by 10.3% at current prices, while, at constant prices, decrease was recorded, amounting to 5.9% relative to the first quarter of 2021. Observed by types of constructions, value of performed works on buildings decreased by 7.5%, and on civil engineering by 4.6%, at constant prices.
In the first quarter 2022, the value of construction works done, at constant price, noted the greatest increase in Region Šumadije i Zapadne Srbije, by 53.8%, and in Region Vojvodine, by 2.5%, while it decreased in Beogradski Region, by 16.6%, and in Region Južne i Istočne Srbije, by 49.8%, relative to the same quarter 2021.
Out of the total value of works done, 97.1% were performed on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, while the rest of 2.9% was performed on building sites abroad.
Value of works done by the contractors from the Republic of Serbia in the first quarter 2022, regarding works performed on the territory of the Republic of Serbia and abroad, increased by 9.3% relative to the same quarter 2021, at current prices, while at constant prices, it decreased by 6.7%.
