Literal question
Did you ever breastfeed (name)?
Interviewer instructions
Breastfeeding is important for a child's health and because it prevents pregnancy during the period when the mother is breastfeeding. For this question, it does not matter how long the respondent breastfed the child, only whether or not she ever gave the child the breast, even if the baby died very young. Circle the code corresponding to the response given. If the response is 'No' (she never breastfed the child), go to next module.
